SU Flowering Flourishes Card

Good Wednesday morning to you.  This background was created  by using painters tape.  The painters tape technique is created by putting the painters tape on your ink pad and rubbing the ink on to the tape.  Be careful to not get too close the edge of the tape, because it will leave lines on your background.  Once you get the ink on the painters tape, put it on your card stock.  I did all three colors and then pulled the tape off the card stock.  Give it a minute to dry and you are ready to stamp over it.  What a fun and creative way to create your back ground.

Here is the recipe:
Flowering Flourishes (pg 118) and Express Yourself (Hostess pg 205) stamp sets
Pool Party, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock
Pool Party, So Saffron and Old Olive stamp pad
Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad (#101406)
Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#129324) pg 171
Pool Party 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (discontinued)
Painters tape - purchased at local hardware store

Thank you for visiting today.  God Bless.

SU Serene Sihouettes Birthday Card

This card is using the Waxed Paper Technique.  It is so easy to make the background with wax paper on this card.  First you emboss wax paper in the embossing folder.  Then you take and put the wax paper, glossy white card stock and then an extra piece of paper on top and put the iron on it.  Set the iron on the stack and count to 5, then move it and count again.  Do this about 3 times to get the whole piece ironed.  Do not use the steam setting and I picked up the iron and set it down, did not slide the iron around.  Then took the brayer and inked up the color on it and colored the white glossy card stock, the took a Kleenex and rub it across the card stock to take off the excess ink off the card stock.  This is a beautiful and fun card to create.

Here is the recipe:
Serene Silhouette (pg 64), Teeny Tiny Wishes (pg 44) and Papillon Potpourri (butterfly pg 90) stamp sets
Marina Mist, Glossy White (discontinued), Midnight Muse and Whisper White card stock
Old Olive and Midnight Muse markers
Marina Mist stamp pad
Brayer (#102395 pg 165)
Beautifully Baroque emboss folder (#130917 pg 191)
Elegant Butterfly (#127526) and Modern Label (#119849) punches

Thank you for visiting today.  God Bless.

This card was created with the Wildflower Meadow embossing folder and stamp set.  You first emboss the card stock, then stamp the stamp with white craft stamp pad.  I then used the heat tool to dry it quicker.  Then I used the aqua painter to pick up the color and colored in the flowers, stems and bird.  This card has a softer watercolor look to it.

Here is the recipe:
Wildflower Meadow stamp set (Bundle #132985 C) pg 83
Whisper White Craft Ink
Raspberry Ripple and Crumb Cake card stock
Raspberry Ripple. Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Marina Mist, and Tangerine Tango stamp pads to water color with

Thank you Card

This card is part of the Simply Fabulous Simply Sent kit on page 161 in our regular catalog.  This kit has all the decorations for this card.  I only added the card stock as the basic card.  I did use the Million & One stamp set also on page 161.  The kit includes enough supplies to create 8 cards (includes envelopes), 4 of each color.  This kit includes the colors of Pistachio Pudding (shown) and Smoky Slate.  This is a fun kit to buy, create the card and give it as a gift.  If new to stamping, this is a great way to put together 8 cards.

Thank you for visiting today.  God Bless you and your family.

Lion Birthday Card

On Friday's I am going to post a project and call it Flashback Friday.  I am calling it "Flashback" because either the stamp set, card stock, designer paper or accessory has been discontinued.

This lion is created with punches.  I have a couple punch art projects that we have been creating at our stamp classes.  We are going to create a frog at our August class.

To make the lion you will need:
Blossoms punch - 2 flowers punched in More Mustard and 1 in So Saffron.  More Mustard is discoutniued but you could use Brown Sugar.  The feet is So Saffron and cut with 2 petals for the feet.  You could get 3 feet from the one punch.
1 3/8" Circle punch - 1 in So Saffron for the face
3/4" Circle punch - 2 punches in So Saffron for the cheeks
Owl Builder punch - 1 heart only in Real Red for the  nose
Petite Pennants Builder punch - 3 punches for the banner

Here is the recipe:
Bring on the Cake stamp set (Happy Birthday)
Pear Pizzazz, More Mustard (discontinued), So Saffron, and Whisper White card stock - Can use Brown Sugar in place of More Mustard
Just Cake designer paper (discontinued)
Pear Pizzazz stamp pad
Basic Black marker
Perfect Polka Dots emboss folder
Eyes are the googlie eyes bought at a craft store

All the punches were sponged really well around the eyes with the same color of the card stock.

Thank you for visting today.  God Bless you and your family.
